Research in the Knope lab addresses ongoing needs that lie at the intersection of energy, the environment, and sustainability. All projects involve the synthesis and in depth characterization of novel solid-state compounds.

The group went to Fort Hunt Elementary School and volunteered at their science night. Demos included luminescence, liquid nitrogen, and making bouncy balls. What fun!
