The U.S. Crystal Growing Competition was founded by Prof. Jason Benedict (Univ. Buffalo) in 2013. It is an annual event that coincides with Chemistry Week and provides students, teachers, and parents an opportunity to try out their crystal growing skills. No prior experience is needed, we just want you to have fun and “crystallize” your excitement for science. And crystals are just cool!
